Touch-down! in Singapore

We arrived in Singapore late Thursday night after a marthon trip in from DC that included 22 hours of flight time and 24 hours all in. It went quick. The airline had all the hits and kept them coming - Body of Lies, Eagle Eye, 24 Season 1(!), even Rainman. I also put a good hour in on Tetris and Pong. The trip from the airport to our hotel was an easy one. We got there at 1am, or noon east coast time. Falling asleep at noon was never so easy.

Change is Good!

Well within a two-week period we resigned from our posts here in DC, packed up our things into a 15 x 10 storage unit and are now finalizing our preparations for a three-month journey into Southeast Asia, China and Japan. Once we get back we'll be moving to Russ' hometown of Danville, PA. It's a big change to say the least, and we are looking forward to everything that awaits. But for right now, we are excited about travelling to the opposite side of the globe and immersing ourselves into a foreign world with new people and new cultures. We'll updated this blog along the way (at hotels / internet cafes when available) so you can follow along.
